Mo' Mojo
In the Music Hall
Zydeco music is all about energy and heat - and Mo' Mojo brings both on! The band's music adds Cajun melodies to blues sounds from all over the south, and the result is something positive, energetic, and most importantly, danceable.Mo’ Mojo combines the fiery sounds of Louisiana with a stage show so dynamite they are indisputably Ohio's hottest zydeco band. Mo' Mojo covers a lot of ground in the genre. In addition to their own originals, a Mo' Mojo show includes staple hits from zydeco kings such as Clifton Chenier, Boozoo Chavis, and Beau Jacques; the new zydeco funk sounds of Chris and Sean Ardoin, and Keith Frank; and zydeco versions of songs by Led Zepplin, Ben Harper, and Blues Traveler. They also specialize in Mardi Gras and other New Orleans music.

The Jack Fords with Special Guests Dan McCoy & the Standing 8's
In the Music Hall
The Jack Fords are the genuine article. Greasy American rock’n’roll that is delivered with a charismatic, confident swagger. There is an raw, honest, genuine, spontaneous approach to their live show that has made their listeners believers. They are most at home at their best tearing through four-hour sets in smoky dirty clubs and bars, with creaky floors, spilled beer, broken glass, and fantastic crowds. This was the momentum behind the Cleveland band being crowned 2007's "Best Rock Band" by the Cleveland Free Times and their readers.
After years of playing in bands Willoughby, Ohio native Dan McCoy has stepped out on his own in 2008. While his main band Rambler 454 is on hiatus McCoy has been working on a second solo album due for release in the later half of the year. The album features Russell Fleckenstein (The Turnpikes) on drums with McCoy playing the rest of the albums instruments (save for the occasional guest spot). Clint Holley (Hayshaker Jones) is the man turning the knobs & giving constructive criticism (Read: He's the engineer & co-producer). McCoy wrote 8 of the albums 11 tracks with 2 songs being cover tunes & 1 written by friend & part-time co-conspiritor Greg Markell. It's being dubbed as "Rambler-lite" in reference to Rambler 454 but that may be an understatement. The energy & sincerity is just as strong as anything Rambler (or McCoy's previous band Block) has put out but the focus on lyrics & storytelling has been taken up a notch. Says McCoy, "I'm being completely self-indulgent on this record & it's coming out exactly as I've been hearing it in my head. This may end up being my last record so I want to make sure it comes out good & it's done the way I want it done. So far, so good."

Bon Scott Memorial Show Featuring Bonfire (AC/DC Tribute) with special guests Uncle Scratch's Gospel Revival and special appearance by the 87th Cleveland pipe band!
$8 General Admission - In the Music Hall
Cleveland 's BONFIRE is everything you'd expect in an AC/DC act, plus some things that you may have never expected. Shows are parties, plain and simple. The sound and reproduction of AC/DC tunes is first and foremost. They cover tunes from every album plus of course all the "Standards."Bonfire has played in several states from the local club, large outdoor events, to the House of Blues in Cleveland, as well as the biggest AC/DC convention in the world held in Wrexham, Wales! Bonfire was one of only two AC/DC tribute bands present from the USA.
Down in the trenches of rock 'n' roll is where the country-blues-punk act Uncle Scratch's Gospel Revival does its preaching , a blistering batch of fire and brimstone tempered with over-the-top evangelizing delivered rockabilly style. Whether band members Brother Ed (drums and vocals) and Brother Ant (guitar and vocals) are truly on a mission to convert isn't quite clear, but the Lakewood twosome rocks in fine fashion with such ditties as "Gates of Hell" and "Sin City," spreading the word one fuzzed-out guitar lick and dirty vocal sermon at a time. Watch out devil, Uncle Scratch's Gospel Revival is camped out on your doorstep either saving souls or entertaining lost ones. - John Benson- Plain Dealer
